Past Continuous (ING)

Uso: Descrever ações que aconteceram em determinado momento do passado

Formação: To be (was/were) + (Verbo principal)

I  ___ was
You___were
He  ___ Was
She  ___ Was
It  ___ Was
We ___ were
You ___ Were
They  ___ Were

EX: Writing, dying, sinnig, beginning, fixing, working, traveling


Wasn’t/ weren’t – negative
Verbo “To Be” no começo da frase – Interrogativa


Past continuous
-         When: Past Tense + Past Continuous
Ex1: You were playing the guitar when she arrived. (past tense).

Ex2: I was Dancing when I brok my leg.

-         While: Past Continuous + Past Continuous
Ex: I was watching TV white you were reading magazines.

Ex2: I were playing soccer while I was sleeping.
